Afghanistan's education system is under immense pressure, with 9 million children out of school, 90% of 10-year-olds unable to read, and a teacher shortage of over 110,00. But across the country, a generation of Afghan graduates is choosing to stay, to teach, and to lead, even when the world largely looks away. TAO is built on that choice.

Our Vision

An Afghanistan where every child attains an excellent education, and its own people lead the way.

How We Do It

We believe teaching is leadership. We empower talented and committed Afghans through a two-year teaching fellowship to become lifelong leaders and catalysts for educational equity in Afghanistan.

A Decade, And Counting

TAO Pitch Deck.jpg

Ten years ago, we placed our first fellows in classrooms. Today,
they are principals, education leads, policymakers, and parents raising the next generation.

This year, we celebrate a decade of impact, but the need has never been greater.

Your support sends the next generation of Afghan fellows into the classrooms that need them most. Every dollar counts.
